Japanese Beetle Bug
This pattern was developed after years of seeing smallmouth and carp devour these bugs on Shenandoah. Absolutely deadly. Also extremely effective on Trout from the East Coast to the West Coast and South America. Colors matched perfectly along with belly design which in fact is the back design on the actual bug. Just like all the other Chuck Kraft style bugs, the legs on these flies can be replaced after catching dozen of fish on the bug. #6 is a true size match and is the size preference for common carp and grass carp. #4 can bring up the larger 18"-22" smallmouth.
In the photo gallery, the beetles with the Quarter are #6's on the left and #4's on the right.
